Spicy Coconut began over a bowl of spicy coconut soup. I was eating it when my girlfriend called me a spicy coconut. The name stuck, so it’s what I build under.
I’ve built products end to end, but the ideas behind them weren’t mine. Now I want more of the decisions that come before the code: what should exist, who needs it, and whether it’s worth building.

Why I’m shifting from client work to building my own things
I’ve built projects end to end, but the ideas behind them weren’t mine. That distinction has started to matter more to me. I can take an idea and turn it into working software. Now I want to spend more time with the decisions that come before that: what should exist, who needs it, and whether it’s worth building in the first place. That’s why I’m shifting more of my attention toward building my own things.
